チェスキー 河野 あいみ

3歳からピアノを始め、武蔵野音楽大学ピアノ科卒業後、音楽療法を学ぶ為アメリカへ渡る。テキサスウーマンズ大学で音楽療法の修士課程終了、同大学にて幼少児発達学で博士号取得。以来15年間、テキサス州の二大学にて子供の発達学、幼少児教育、家庭科学の分野の教鞭をとった。音大在籍中よりピアノの指導を開始、アメリカに渡った後も継続。さらに、様々な障がいを持つ対象者に音楽療法や療法的なピアノレッスンを始め、2021年に日本に帰国後は障がいのある人へのレッスンを中心に行っている。アメリカの認定音楽療法士の資格を保有している。

Aimi Kono Chesky

Started playing the piano at the age of 3 and graduated from Musashino Academia Musicae in Tokyo with a major in piano performance. She then moved to the U.S. to pursue graduate degrees. She earned a master’s degree in Music Therapy and a doctorate (Ph.D.) in Child Development from a university in Texas. Afterwards,she taught classes in child and human development, early childhood education, and family sciences for over 15 years at two universities in Texas. She has been teaching the piano since she was a conservatory student and continued the practice while she lived in the U.S. Additionally, she started to provide adaptive piano lessons and music therapy for individuals with special needs, which she focuses since moving back to Japan in 2021 . She is a board-certified music therapist in the U.S.
